Beyond The Baseline

"I started Savage Athlete Foundation because I watched children struggle—unable to play sports, falling behind in school, getting into fights, being left out, and ignored by coaches because of hyperactivity or difficulty paying attention. I saw wasted potential. Kids were quitting sports early, never reaching the development they needed and deserved. So, I decided to act. I began by giving away refurbished baseball gloves and bats. Then, I launched a summer program focused on enhancing mechanical development through micro-movements. The results were incredible—an extreme learning curve in athletic development, improved behavior both on and off the field, better performance in the classroom, more smiles, and a positive shift in attitudes toward learning and coachability. These outcomes reinforced my belief in the power of sports to transform lives, and they drive everything we do at Savage Athlete Foundation." - Coach Mike
